There's no password to keep track of. You type your email, and we send you a link and a code. This page covers which email signs you in, how to change it, what to do when the email doesn't come, and how your artists and anyone else at your shop get in.
How do I sign in?
Go to app.waivers.tattoo/sign-in, type your shop's email, and press Send me a sign-in link. We email you a link and a 6-digit code. Tap the link, and you're in.
The code is for signing in on a different device than the one with your email. Say you asked on the shop's computer and the email came to your phone: type the code on the computer, on the screen that asked for it. You don't have to open the email to read it, because the code is in the subject line, after Your sign-in code. Each sign-in email has its own code in the subject, so each one arrives as its own conversation, with the newest on top.
The link and the code work once, for 20 minutes. If yours ran out, ask for a fresh one.
If your shop's email is a Google account, like a Gmail address, Continue with Google on the same screen signs you in without an email.
Which email do I sign in with?
The one your shop signed up with. It's also where your signed copies go. In your dashboard, it's under Settings → Notifications, as your sign-in email.
You can add more emails that open your shop. Under Also sign in with, on the same tab, add a personal email or your partner's. Each one opens your shop the way yours does, settings included.
If you have more than one shop on the same email, one sign-in opens them all, and you pick the shop once you're in.
How do I change the email I sign in with?
In your dashboard, go to Settings → Notifications. Under Sign-in email, type the new email and press Send a code. We email a 6-digit code to the new email, so you know it works before anything moves. Type the code and press Confirm, and your shop moves to the new email: your sign-in links and your signed copies go there from then on.
What if my email is bouncing?
When email to one of your shop's addresses comes back undelivered, we stop sending to it, and your dashboard shows a banner saying mail to that email is bouncing. Press Fix it. The screen it opens, Fix a bouncing email, lists each bouncing email and what it's for, with 2 buttons: Replace it, or Take it off. To replace your sign-in email, we send a code to the new one, so you're not locked out.
If the bouncing email is the one you sign in with and you're signed out, a sign-in link can't reach you there. If you added another email under Also sign in with, sign in with that one and fix it on the same screen. If not, write to chris@waivers.tattoo from an email that works, with your shop's name, and we correct it.
What if the sign-in email doesn't come?
- Give it a minute, then check spam or junk. It comes from hello@waivers.tattoo, and its subject starts with Your sign-in code.
- Check the email you typed. It has to be one on your shop: the one you signed up with, or one under Also sign in with. Any other email gets a sign-in link too, but that link opens the door to set up a new shop.
- Asked a few times? Use the newest email. After a few in an hour, we stop sending to that email until the next hour.
- Still nothing? The email on your shop may have a typo from the day you signed up, or be one you can't get into anymore. Write to chris@waivers.tattoo from the email you want to use, with your shop's name, and we correct it.
How do my artists sign in?
With their own email. In your dashboard, open Artists, the tab next to Settings. Add the artist with their email, and switch them to Can sign in. They get an email from us with a link that works once, for 7 days. After that, they sign in at app.waivers.tattoo/sign-in with that email, the same way you do.
An artist sees the waivers they signed and their own clients, and none of your settings. To let every artist see every waiver, turn on Let every artist see every waiver on the same screen.
How does someone else at my shop get in?
There are 2 ways.
- You add them. Add their email under Also sign in with, on Settings → Notifications. It opens your shop the way yours does, settings included. For an artist, use the Artists tab instead.
- They ask to join. When someone signs in with an email that isn't on your shop, they can ask to join it, by your shop's name or the address on your QR code. You get 1 email saying who asked, with a link. Add them as an artist or as an owner, or ignore the email and nothing changes. Once you add them, we email them a sign-in link.
